TOOLS of the TRADE:
pop up placemats

These placemats will be a cool addition to a formal Christmas dinner.

The pop-up graphics are on disposable paper placemats. Each design has an area for you to hand write your guest's name, thus doubling as a place card too!

You can get them here.

I hope everyone has a great holiday and happy new year! I'm gonna take a little vacation.

I'll resume postings on January 7th 2009.

TOOLS of the TRADE:
calendars

It's the time of the year to buy a new calendar. But I always forget to do so and I wait too long and there only lame horse or landscape calendars left!

I got my calendar early this year from little brown pen.

It's a spoof from the England WWII propaganda poster "Keep Calm and Carry On." It's so cute and girly. Some of the months say:
• April: "Jump Puddles and Curse Frizzy Hair"
• June: "Wear Bikini and Avoid Mirrors"
• October: "Eat Candy and Regret Decision"
• December: "Say Thanks and Exchange for Jewelry"

Here are some other cool handmade calendars.

TOOLS of the TRADE:
holiday

I was on Etsy today and I ran into Sunshine and Ravioli's shop. She makes these really nice gift tags.

I love that the paper looks worn and the layering of the paper. The scalloped edges are cute too. Good ATC ideas!
